Support at Home

Get the Most from Your Support at Home

Support at Home (SAH) is a government-funded program offering older South Australians a pathway to receive quality in-home care and support. It is designed for those who need a higher level of assistance than what is available through the Commonwealth Home Support Programme, helping you live independently with confidence and dignity in your own home.

At AIO Care, we are specialists in Support at Home services across Adelaide and surrounding areas. Many of our local clients and families trust us to deliver exceptional value and personalised care that meets their unique funding classification and care needs.

How to Access Support at Home Funding

To start receiving Support at Home funding, an assessment through My Aged Care is required. We will guide you throughout the assessment process to make it easy for you - simply book a care consultation with one of our friendly coordinators.

Partnering in Your Support at Home Funding

Your personal contribution towards service costs depends on your income, assets, and the type of care you receive. The government subsidises the remainder to help keep services affordable.

  • Clinical Support: Usually no contribution required (e.g., nursing, medication management)
  • Independence Services: Moderate contributions for support that helps maintain independence (e.g., personal care, social support)
  • Everyday Living Services: Higher contributions for domestic and practical tasks (e.g., cleaning, shopping, transport)

Pensioners typically pay less, while self-funded retirees may have higher contributions.
